Moving to Guatemala

Today we moved to Antigua Guatemala to become church planting missionaries. Even though everything went really smooth with our travel, today was really hard. Even though our awesome friends set up our house before we even moved in, and had dinner waiting, and drove us home from the airport and helped us unload our 24 bags and 3 cats, it was hard. It was really hard to go from a huge nice American house to a large really nice Guatemalan house, because it’s just really different. There were many tears tonight and it took a lot of work just to get everything ready for us to go to bed. Everyone is uncertain about their room. A new house that’s very different feels scary. Kadi and I have had time to adjust to the idea of living here after walking through it a few times already before moving down. The kids saw a video and pictures of it, but it’s always very different in person. We have a lot of adjustment ahead of us and it’s not going to be easy, but God is in all of it. We made it to Guatemala. Time to pray like crazy and wait on the Lord for direction.
