My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book inspired me to live for God with more passion. I think it's a great book for a modern audience of self absorbed people obsessed with self.

God wants us to walk in obedience, not victory. Obedience is oriented toward God. Victory is oriented toward yourself. Until we face this attitude and deal with it, we will not walk consistently in holiness. Victory is a byproduct of obedience. Concentrate on obedience. 1. Two Trees

Adam and Eve chose a tree that led to death and brought sin into the world. Jesus chose a tree that led to death to free us all, conquering sin and death. I just heard a fellow seminarian talk about this and it is obvious but also blew my mind and I found it amazing. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the cross of crucifixion.
