Creeds / Confessions / Catechisms to study

| Creeds

- The Apostles Creed
- The Nicean Creed
- The Athenatian Creed

    - Learn the historical context and biblical framework of these creeds
    - These tools are memorable and organized and can give us a theological framework from which to operate so we can answer questions about what we believe and why we believe it

| Confessions

- Voddie Baucham as a Reformed Baptist he holds to the 2nd London Baptist Confession of 1689.

| Catechisms

- designed to teach confessions
- Voddie Baucham believes they're the number one apologetic training tool in the world because they help you know what you believe, why you believe it, and how to effectively communicate it to others. When people ask you questions you should give them answers.
- What's a catechism? Learning What you Believe through a series of Questions and Answers.
- We used to raise our children with Catechisms so they'd now the answers, now people who have been in our churches for 15 or 20 years that would stumble on some of those same questions.

- We're producing a Christianity that is not robust
- We're producing passionate people with empty heads who love the Jesus they don't know very well and who are driven to and fro by every wind of doctrine
- A 4th thing could be Hymns and Psalms of our History that are in alignment with our creeds, confessions, catechisms
- This is about raising up people who know what they believe, and who know why they believe it, and are able to communicate that to others in a winsome and effective way.
    - winsome definition: attractive or appealing in appearance or character.
