Title: Jesus, Son of David, Son of Abraham, Son of GodTelos: The promised king savior to come has arrived. He is the better David, the better Abraham, the better Israel.

Isaiah 7:14

[8] and it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass on, reaching even to the neck, and its outspread wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.” (ESV)
Isaiah 8:10
[10] Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
speak a word, but it will not stand,
for God is with us. (ESV)
- explain Immanuel means God is with us
- When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him
- We abide in the vine by obeying God's commands as Jesus did
John 15:10–11
[10] If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. [11] These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. (ESV)
- "but knew her not until she had given birth to a son," Joseph is a patient obedient man
- and he called his name Jesus, Joseph was obedient

- Isaiah 7 fulfilled in birth of messiah- Isaiah 9 he will be called wonderful counselor, mighty God

- Word became flesh
- Tabernacled among us
5th name: Jesus
- Greek form of Joshua or Yeshua, Yahweh saves, Yahweh is salvation- A new Joshua figure
- Acts 1 wanted kingdom restored
- Jesus means he will save them from their son
- Teaches in sin and how we all don’t want to talk about it
- Teaches non believers they are a sinner
- Did once then face judgement
