The first day waking up in our new house in Guatemala. We drove to another town and went shopping at a Walmart for some groceries and other things, and then a store called Cemaco for more household items. While shopping it started raining like crazy and it was even louder in the store than outside because of what the ceiling must be made of. We had lunch at McDonald’s and that was fun and delicious, especially the mango smoothies. It is hard not knowing Spanish. It will be so much easier once we know it. The kids have great attitudes but are struggling with everything being so different. Kadi made spaghetti for dinner, and it was really great to eat around the table together. It brought a little bit of normalcy to our hectic crazy lives over the last several weeks. Today we made some fun memories together and had more struggles with adjusting. It is hard to adjust. It is going to take some time.
